NON-HAZING POLICY
"Theta's Soar Above Hazing"

**Theta Phi Sigma Christian Sorority, Inc.®
Official No Hazing Policy**
Statement of Commitment
Theta Phi Sigma Christian Sorority, Inc. is a Christ-centered organization dedicated to empowering women through love, mentorship, and spiritual sisterhood. As such, we maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for hazing in any form. Hazing is incompatible with our values of respect, holiness, and accountability and will not be tolerated under any circumstance.
⸻
Definition of Hazing
Hazing is defined as any action or situation, whether intentional or unintentional, that causes embarrassment, discomfort, harassment, humiliation, or harm (physically, emotionally, or spiritually) as a condition of initiation, membership, or continued participation in the sorority — regardless of the individual’s willingness to participate.
This includes, but is not limited to:
• Verbal abuse or name-calling
• Sleep deprivation or forced physical activity
• Acts of intimidation or manipulation
• Isolation from family, friends, or support systems
• Forced consumption of substances (food, drinks, or otherwise)
• Inappropriate tasks, servitude, or public embarrassment
• Spiritual manipulation or shame-based practices
⸻
Spiritual & Legal Stance
As a Christian organization, Theta recognizes that hazing:
• Violates biblical principles of love, edification, and unity (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
• Breaches moral integrity and the dignity of each woman
• May result in civil and criminal liability under state and federal law
All members and leaders must comply with this policy and uphold the spiritual, emotional, and physical safety of every woman within the organization.
⸻
Reporting & Consequences
Theta provides a safe, confidential channel for reporting any acts of hazing. Any member or officer found to have participated in or facilitated hazing will face:
• Immediate suspension or expulsion
• Possible legal referral
• Removal from leadership roles
• A spiritual restoration process (if applicable)
⸻
Affirmation of Non-Hazing Culture
All new members, officers, and mentors must sign an annual No Hazing Acknowledgment Form confirming their understanding and agreement to uphold Theta’s culture of honor, love, and accountability.
